The Waukesha Business Improvement District announces the grand opening of two new businesses on Saturday, May 22. Officially opening their doors are Waukesha Tattoo Company @ Galleria Edge, 463 W. Main St. and Moxie Beauty Lounge, 443 W. Main St. Waukesha Mayor Jeff Scrima will welcome the businesses downtown with a ribbon cutting celebration at 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. respectively.
“We are delighted to welcome these two new energetic businesses to downtown Waukesha. They join the many other customer-focused businesses already here,” said Karen Richards, executive director of the Waukesha Business Improvement District. “We are grateful for the wonderful local support that allows downtown Waukesha to continue to thrive.”
Waukesha Tattoo Company @ Galleria Edge is an up-scale tattoo shop set amid a fine art gallery. “We want to bring tattooing to the next level,” said co-owner George Wang. “We hope to break the stereotype of what society envisions a tattoo parlor to look like.” Co-owners Rich Cseri, Barry Jager, and George Wang have more than 50 years of combined experience and personal attention for each of their customers is a priority. “Our goal is to provide customers with a great experience and a quality tattoo. We offer free 15 minute consultations for all of our customers because we want them to feel as comfortable as possible,” Wang said. The location for their business was an easy choice for these owners. “90% of our customers are from Waukesha,” Wang said. “We saw this location as a place to achieve our dream and contribute to the momentum of downtown Waukesha.” During the grand opening from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, refreshments from Poppin’ on Broadway and Crazy Train will be available. Additionally, artists Katie Musolff and Andy Fletcher will showcase their collections beginning at 7:00 p.m. to kick off the Galleria Edge art season.
Moxie Beauty Lounge is a full service salon and spa. “We offer a variety of services including hair, massages, nails, and airbrush tanning,” said Sabrina Hildebrant, co-owner of Moxie Beauty Lounge. “Walk-in appointments are welcome for all services.” Customer service is a number one priority for this beauty salon. “We take our time with each of our clients, ensuring satisfaction. We want to make sure our customers leave happy,” Hildebrant said. Opening up a business in downtown Waukesha was a great opportunity for owners Sabrina Hildebrant and Holly LePien. “The perfect opportunity arose at an ideal time,” LePien said. “We like the fact that downtown Waukesha has progressed throughout the years.” Grand opening festivities include 20% off all retail, discounted packages on services, free makeup consultations, and a cook out from 5-8 p.m. Additionally, patrons may RSVP by May 20th, and receive a free $25 gift certificate and gift bag.
