Win Breakfast with Wolves (or Cats), Playhouses & More

What if your kids could play make-believe in a child-sized playhouse with a candy-shop theme? Or maybe the youngsters would prefer to have breakfast with a big-cat keeper in the Milwaukee County Zoo’s feline building. Either way, make your kids’ dreams come true if you win one of the six fun prizes in the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM’s) Playhouse Raffle 2009, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual Foundation. This year’s prizes are two “breakfast with a zookeeper” packages, plus two playhouses, a backyard play set and round-trip air transportation for two.

Raffle tickets are available now through Aug. 30 from the ZSM’s office at the Zoo. For details and prize descriptions, please see below.

What: The Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s Playhouse Raffle 2009, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual Foundation.

Prizes:

--A child-sized playhouse called "Candy Shoppe", designed and built by Building Service, Inc.

--A child-sized playhouse with a country cottage theme, designed and built by Southeast Wisconsin Carpentry Training Center, with materials provided by Carpenters & Floor Coverers Local No. 334.

--A backyard play set donated by Backyard Playsets LLC.

--Breakfast in the Zoo’s Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country. Learn about the Zoo’s big cats and watch a keeper prepare food for the tigers and the hyenas. Maximum six people, all at least 12 years of age; date of event to be mutually agreed- upon.

--Breakfast in the Zoo’s Wolf Woods exhibit. Learn about the Zoo’s four wolves and how keepers care for them. Maximum 16 people; date of event to be mutually-agreed upon.

--Round-trip air transportation for two on American Airlines/American Eagle.

Tickets: Tickets are available for purchase at the ZSM’s office in the Milwaukee County Zoo starting July 1. Tickets are sold through Aug. 30. Playhouses and the play set will be displayed at the Zoo in August.

How much: Raffle ticket prices are $3 for one, $5 for two, $10 for five, $20 for 15; buy 50 or more tickets, and they’re $1 each.

Drawing: Aug. 31 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. You need not be present to win.
