Soiree de Village

June 30, 2009 | 0 comments

Visit the Historic Village of Wauwatosa on July 17 and 18 for a host of exciting entertainment opportunities entitled Soirée de Village. The Village businesses are enhancing the Wauwatosa Historical Society’s Plein Air Affair with additional activities and promotions for children and adults centered on a slightly French theme:

• Mouth-watering crépes from Le Réve Patisserie & Café

• Special artist exhibits hosted by Village businesses

• Live music

• Special wine and food offerings

• And so much more!

• Please visit www.VillageofWauwatosa.com for a complete list of business activities and offerings.

En Plein Air is a French expression which means “in open air,” and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. The Wauwatosa Plein Air Affair is an invitation to all artists to spend time painting outdoors throughout the city of Wauwatosa July 9 to July 16. Wauwatosa offers a diverse palette of painting possibilities with its distinct and varied neighborhoods, beautiful homes and scenic gardens, historic and commercial districts, as well as natural parks, woods and river views.

The Plein Air Affair will culminate on July 17 and 18 with an auction/sale at the recently-restored Little Red Store in the heart of the Historic Village. While in the Village for a variety of surprises during Soirée de Village that same weekend, visitors are encouraged to visit the Little Red Store for the art auction/sale just across the tracks.
