NEWS AND NOTES
Meeting notes: We had a bunch of guests, including Taylor Poehl, who visited last week and returned with a completed membership application; Kevin Stagl, an Eagle Scout, who is now attending UW-Whitewater and told us about his activities with Circle K, among other things; Karen Wess, invited by Eli Potkonjak; and Duane Northry, invited by Dave Eppelsheimer. Happy dollars came in from Ken Snyder, who was happy for every one of Ricky Weeks' hits; Carl Smith, basically because to pay for his commercial for the June 1 4H golf outing (call Carl 262-574-1912) and to boast about the three forums he signed up for the club's golf outing; Bob Reinhardt tossed in $5 for the great post-prom crew; Eli Potkonjak also paid to show how impressed he was with the post-prom crew (and to say he is happy about his daughter returning from school; and Gary Knisbeck was happy about how polite the kids were at post-prom; John Foley, who son, Sean, just finished producing and directing his first commercial, staring Michael Phelps; and Gary Krueger, who return from Florida without alligator boots.
Our speakers were two representatives of Tosa's finest, invited by Ann Tennyson, to tell us about Tosa's Night Out on August 4 (for which they are looking for sponsors.).
New member: Reed Felton, who submitted a membership application and was approved just last week, was officially inducted this week. Make a point of introducing yourself.
Board meeting: The Board accepted Dave Sayas' resignation with regret. The Board's preliminary choice of beneficiary for the next Wine and Beer Tasting event is Hope House.
Elections: It was a big surprise, but we elected: Directors – Gary Krueger, Dave Hoerig, Jason Gonwa (for three year terms), and Ken Snyder (for a two year term); and Rich Woods as Vice President.
Interclubs: The bulletin was incorrect last week. You can still attend an interclub with the WWHS Key Club this Thursday at 7:15 AM. Then you have a chance to visit the Elm Grove Golden K on Friday, May 29, at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Senior Center.
Relay for Life: The West Key Club is planning on their Relay event on May 29. See Andy Barnes if you want to help.
Program assignments: June 2 – John Klose will lead planning for the golf outing.
