Jason Kofroth Announces Candidacy for Wauwatosa's 7th District Aldermanic Seat

Dec. 6, 2013

Jason Kofroth, Wauwatosa resident and advocate, announced today his candidacy for Wauwatosa’s 7th district aldermanic seat.

“As a young professional, I am proud to call Wauwatosa home,” said Jason. “It is my goal to give back to the community and represent the will of my 7th district neighbors.”

Jason has already received the support of current 7th District Alderman, Cheryl Berdan.

"I am very pleased that Jason Kofroth has decided to run for the position of 7th District Alderman in Wauwatosa,” said Alderman Berdan. “Jason will represent our citizens with fervor and integrity. He cares about the city and will work hard to ensure that we continue to prosper as a community. I look forward to working with him.”

Serving as a board member of the Fisher Woods Neighborhood Association since 2011, Jason is deeply passionate about his community and committed to representing the constituents of his district.

“Wauwatosa is a great place to raise a family. New development and peaceful, well-kept neighborhoods present the best of both worlds for Wauwatosa families, ” said Jason. “I strongly oppose the sidewalks that are being considered for the 7th district in the city’s Bike/Pedestrian Facilities Plan draft. My neighbors on 116th Street have spoken and the city should listen."

Jason received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and management from Trinity International University in 2009. This month, he will receive his Masters of Business Administration in finance and risk management from Concordia University Wisconsin. He currently works at BMO Harris Bank as a Retirement Services Relationship Coordinator.

Jason’s real-world business experience, as well as his education and training, have greatly influenced his fiscally conservative views and make him the right choice for 7th District Alderman.

Jason, 27, and wife, Suzanne, have called Wauwatosa home since their marriage in 2010. They will welcome their first child in December. In addition to his work with the Fisher Woods Neighborhood Association, Jason has been a youth basketball coach in southeast Wisconsin since 2011. He and his wife also attend Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, where they are active volunteers.
