S.J. Janis Company, Inc., a full-service design/build remodeling firm in Wauwatosa, will offer remodeling seminars Wed., April 24, at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., as part of Wauwatosa’s “Learning Never Ends” seminar series. Admission is $10, and registration can be made at .

Joe Klein, director of design, will host the open discussions. Klein earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. After graduation, he worked with a structural engineering firm in Chicago before joining S.J. Janis. As director of design, he oversees the entire design process to ensure quality and satisfaction with each project.

From 6:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Klein will discuss “Bathrooms - From Updates to Overhauls.” “Does your bathroom look dated or do you believe it could work better for you?,” Klein said. “This presentation will cover remodeling your bathroom from a complete gut to simple updates. We’ll discuss current trends and products, including the latest on countertops and tiles.

From 8:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., “Kitchen Designs that Function and Look Good” will be the topic. “The kitchen is one of the most used rooms in your home, so why not let it work for you,” Klein said. “This presentation will cover remodeling from the complete gut to do-it-yourself projects. We’ll discuss current trends and products, including the latest on materials used for countertops.”

Klein encourages attendees to bring photos of their kitchen and/or bathroom or ideas from magazines to discuss how to get the best bang for your buck.
