Wauwatosa East fell to 0-5 on the season with a 42-7 loss to Marquette on Sept. 16 at Hart Park.

The Hilltoppers led, 14-0, after the first quarter on a 10-yard touchdown run by Jared Lieungh and a 37-yard touchdown pass from Freddy Poorman to Hank Lamers.

Poorman threw touchdown passes to Justin Novotny and Lamers, while Lieungh added another touchdown run to give Marquette a 35-0 advantage at halftime.

Wauwatosa East got on the board in the third quarter when quarterback Luke Lindemann connected with Damon Woodward for a 50-yard touchdown.

Lindemann finished 6-for-12 for 95 yards to go with his first touchdown pass of the season. Avery Luckett led the Red Raiders in rushing with 61 yards on 13 carries. Cody White caught three passes for 24 yards.

Logan Riemer had 17 tackles, and Scott Henry added eight.

Wauwatosa East will travel to Brookfield East (4-1, 2-1 Greater Metro) at 7 p.m. Sept. 23.

The Spartans began the season 4-0 before losing, 43-14, to Brookfield Central on Sept. 15.
