The Wauwatosa East girls finished seventh with 42 points at the Greater Metro Conference Outdoor Championship, on May 17 at Menomonee Falls.

'It was a great effort by the girls,' coach Glen Gardiner said. 'We're looking forward to the regional meet hosted by West Allis Central.'

East placed in 11 events and had several personal records by girls who didn't place.

The top finish was a third by the 4x400-meter relay team, which took third in 4 minutes, 15.08 seconds by Dom Evans, Katie Gastrau, Hannah Brooks and Toni Bonds.

Bonds, a junior, also had a PR by taking fourth in the 400 run (1:01.81).

Freshman Abby Wood placed fourth in 300 hurdles with a PR 49.69 seconds.

The Raiders had three other relays place.

The 4x200 relay was fourth (1:52.20) with Dom Evans, Melina Paul, Kirsten Maxwell and Olivia Metz. The 4x800 relay was fifth (10:43.53) with Alice Farr, Malia Bavuso, Elsa Klein and Amara Green, as was the 4x100 relay (53.48) with Neshae Morries-Thurman, Trinity Mayes, Metz and Chloe Tome

Junior Cyntala Glass finished sixth in 100 hurdles with a PR of 16.96 seconds, and junior Andrea Mabie took sixth in 3200 with a PR of 11:47.57.

Senior Rebekah Przybyl had a PR when she took seventh in the discus with a throw of 85 feet, 2 inches.

Senior Zoe Schertz was seventh in the 100 hurdles (PR 17.04) and in the 300 hurdles (51.31) to round out the scoring.
