The high school boys golf teams from Waukesha County will be participating in the eighth annual Waukesha County Boys High School Championship, April 22-23, at Waukesha County's Nagawaukee Golf Course, Wanaki Golf Course and Moor Downs Golf Course.

The 36-hole varsity championship will begin Friday at Nagawaukee Golf Course in Pewaukee with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Twenty teams will be participating in round one of the 36-hole Championship. On Saturday, 20 teams will compete in round two of the 36-hole championship that will be held at Wanaki Golf Course in Menomonee Falls. All schools will tee it up with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

This will be the first year of a 36-hole County Championship for the varsity players, as this was an 18-hole event always held at Wanaki Golf Course.

This is also the largest all-county high school golf championship in the state.

Awards will be given in the 36-hole championship for the lowest three individual scores in rounds one and two and for the lowest 10 individual scores in the 36-hole championship. Team winners will be crowned each day, plus the overall 36-hole champion will be awarded.

Spectators are encouraged to attend this event for incredible viewing of a wonderful showcase of high school golf. For more information, log onto www.golfwaukeshacounty.com
