The Wauwatosa East boys track and field team took part in the Madison West Relays on April 2 and used it as a learning experience.

Stevens Point won the event with 54 points, while the Red Raiders finished 23rd out of 28 teams.

'We scored 7 points in two events with a stripped-down squad due to spring-break travel plans,' coach Mackenzie Laska said. 'This allowed guys to run events and step up into relay spots that they normally would not have the opportunity to compete in. I was pleased with the effort and performances I saw from many of our athletes.'

Senior Dan Scallon was the lone medal winner for the team, winning his heat in a personal record 23.49 seconds in the 200-meter dash, which placed him fourth in the event.
