The Wauwatosa West boys track and field team finished third at the 16-team Performance Running Outfitters Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran on March 19 at UW-Parkside.

The host Vikings won the event with 110 points, finishing ahead of Racine Case (80.5) and Tosa West (67).

Christian Jackson had the day's highlight, winning the 55-meter hurdles in a record time of 7.74 seconds. Matthew Peter had the previous record (7.86), set on March 22, 2014.

Kyleon Parker won the intermediate hurdles (8.81), and Javaree Jackson was first in the shot put (53 feet, 2 inches).

The 4x800 relay took second (8:57.75) behind Jeremiah Cash, Joshua Cash, Nen and Logan Steinike.

The 4x200 relay finished third (1:38.70) behind Malik Bascom, Michael Green, Paris Hannah-Howell and Christian Jackson.

The 4x400 relay placed fifth (3:44.53) behind Jeremiah Cash, Joshua Cash, Ean Haller and Nen.

Hannah-Howell was fifth in the long jump (20-8), and Haller was sixth in the 55 hurdles (8.76).

Brown Deer Quad

The Trojans also took part in the Brown Deer quad with Nicolet and Shorewood on March 15.

Christian Jackson won the 55 hurdles (7.92), Ean Haller was second (8.56) and Parker took fifth (9.41)

The 4x160 relay took first (1:19.48) behind Bascom, Michael Dettlaff, Hannah-Howell and Christian Jackson, and Michael Green took first in the triple jump (39-1/4).

West was 1-2 in the shot put with Javaree Jackson (50-93/4) and Austin Ertl (38-63/4).

Paris Hannah-Howell won the high jump (6-0), and Green was second (6.92) and Bascom third (6.95) in the 55 dash.

The 4x800 relay was second (9:24.75) behind Jeremiah Cash, Joshua Cash, Dettlaff and Nen.

Hannah-Howell was second in the long jump (18-7), and Henry Tyson was fourth (17-21/2).

The 4x400 relay was fourth (4:14.09) with Bascom, Green, Christian Jackson and Amadou Barry, and Nick Hagopian was fourth in the pole vault (10-6).
