There were some major numbers getting thrown around in Week 2 of the high-school football season, and coupled with some last-second finishes, it might have been one of the more exciting overall weeks in recent memory.

Take a look at the top showings:

Daniel Alexopoulos, Whitnall. His team was on the wrong side of a lopsided loss to Waukesha North, but Alexopoulos caught six balls for 167 yards and a touchdown. The Whitnall offense still put up good yardage with backup quarterback Jacob Flores enjoying his second straight strong game, completing 20 of 28 for 278 yards and the two scores.

Rayvon Bartlett, Jr., Greenfield. Helping the Hawks to their first win of the season, Bartlett passed for 149 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 116 yards on three carries with three more scores. Teammate Ezekiel Banks returned two kickoffs for TD.

Max Cooper, Catholic Memorial. With top returning rusher Josh Karfonta sidelined, CMH still had plenty of offense in a 32-17 win over Germantown. Cooper caught four passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Tony Wojnowski meanwhile helped filled the void running the ball with 28 carries, 118 yards and one score.

Brennan Demark, Waukesha North. The Northstars quarterback finished with an eye-popping seven touchdowns, completing 18 of 28 passes for 382 yards and helping his 2-0 squad to a 49-13 victory over Whitnall. Taylor Anderson caught three of those scores, part of his six-catch, 164-yard performance, and Kendall Gould caught five balls for 114 yards and two scores.

Ian Francis, Brookfield Academy. Francis completed 12 of 22 passes for four touchdowns at 163 yards, and he also ran 24 times for 101 yars and Academy downed Shoreland Lutheran in a 36-28 shootout.

Darios Garrett, Martin Luther. The Spartans picked up 205 yards rushing on 21 carries from the sophomore and rallied for a 35-18 win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran.

Zach Heckman, Brookfield Central. The Lancers rushing attack was strong again, with Heckman gathering 146 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries. Thomas Gibson also caught seven passes for 117 yards and two scores in a dominant win over Hartford.

Paris Howell, Wauwatosa West. Howell ran for 189 yards on 20 carries to score three touchdowns, and he added another 38 receiving yards in a 31-0 win over Grafton.

Will Kennedy, University School. Including the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 21-14 win over Racine Lutheran, Kennedy ran for three scores, racking up 154 yards on 13 carries.

Jackson Kollath, Sussex Hamilton. Kollath ran for 126 yards on just eight carries with two touchdowns, but his biggest play came on a 58-yard touchdown reception in the final seconds to lift the Chargers to a thrilling win over Cedarburg.

Brandon Kugler, Brookfield East. He forced three fumbles and recorded nine tackles against Beaver Dam, part of a 31-0 shutout and six forced fumbles for the Spartans. Sam Santiago-Lloyd, who ran for two touchdowns, also forced one.

Peter MacCudden, Waukesha West. For the second straight wee, MacCudden was a big gainer, running 21 times for 172 yards and a touchdown in West's loss to Carmel Catholic of Illinois. He also added three catches for 46 yards.

Max Meleski, New Berlin West. The Vikings have been better than expected in the early going, and Meleski is a big reason why. In a last-second win over Milwaukee Lutheran, he ran 28 times for 209 yards and four touchdowns. Teammate Nick Paget caught 11 balls for 108 yards.

Adam Mielke, Lake Country Lutheran. Mielke was busy as the Lightning won a rivalry battle with Catholic Central in convincing fashion, 49-14. he carried the ball seven times for 135 yards and a score and also caught four passes for another 122 yards and a touchdown.

Bryce Miller, New Berlin Eisenhower. The quarterback, one of the year's pleasant surprises thus far, threw for four touchdowns and 300 yards as the Lions crushed West Bend East.

Ben Nienhuis, Oconomowoc. Is it weird that a six-touchdown, 309-yard performance from Nienhuis has become standard? The senior completed 17 of 21 passes, as Zach Clayton (135 yards receiving, three scores) and Christian Gurule (121, two scores, plus rushing touchdown) had huge games. Running back Max Cavaiani burst onto the scene with 160 yards rushing and a score.

Spencer Papandrea, Arrowhead. The Warhawks took a 33-30 loss to Hudson, but Papandrea was at the center of a monster offensive performance that netted the Warhawks more than 440 yards. He ran 31 times for 243 yards and three touchdowns.

Ben Psicihulis, Kettle Moraine. The speedy receiver was nearly unstoppable, catching six balls for 236 yards and three touchdowns in a monster performance that helped the Lasers defeat Watertown, 49-35. Max Duchow threw for four touchdowns overall, with a passing and rushing score in the final minutes of the game to break a 35-all tie.

Matt Ruppel, Port Washington. In a losing effort, Ruppel ran 19 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Clayton Van Tassel, Cedarburg. The Bulldogs receiver caught 10 passes for 141 yards and also rushed for another 14 yards in a losing effort.
