Wauwatosa East's boys track and field began the season with a pair of indoor meets last week, taking second at the Whitefish Bay Triangular on March 17 and placing 14th at the Nelson/Daniels Classic at UW-Whitewater on March 18.

The Red Raiders scored 52 points at Whitefish Bay to finish behind the host Blue Dukes (61 points) and ahead of Franklin (41).

TizellĀ Hagan won the 200-meter dash in 25.81 seconds, and Jacob Odrzywolski took first in the 1,600 in 5 minutes, 2.28 seconds. Tosa East also won the 4x160 relay in 1:22.34.

Earning second-place finishes for the Red Raiders were Scott Henry in the 55 dash (6.99 seconds) and 200 (25.98 seconds), Jacob Collison in 1,600 (5:07.76), Matthew Kubicek in the 55 hurdles (8.68 seconds) and the 4x400 relay team (4:16.43).

Tosa East accumulated 15 points to come in 14th at the 20-team Nelson/Daniels Classic.

Nile Bridges took second in the 400 in 52.52 seconds. Lewis Huenink was fifth in the 55 dash and tied the school record with a time of 6.76 seconds, Henry Wellenstein placed sixth in the 3,200 in 10:06.64, Cyrus Taylor was eighth in the 55 dash in 6.83 seconds and Jack Sveum took eighth in the 3,200 in 10:12.39.

Ian Tyre was 11th in the 1,600 in 4:50.83 and 12th in the 800 in 2:06.95, Cole Tate took 11th in the high jump clearing 5 feet, 8 inches, Jalen Holley was 16th in the 55 hurdles in 8.63, Kubicek was 17th in the 55 hurdles in 8.64 seconds and Pierce Williams was 17th in the high jump with a 5-06 and 19th in the triple jump at 37 feet, 4.75 inches.

The Red Raiders came in 7th in the 4x800 with the team of Adam Schell, Max Finco, Bryce Protz and Eli Werner posting a time of 8:51.00 and 10th in the 4x400 with Finco, Schell, Andrew Casey and Chase Roberts finishing in 3:41.49.
