Wauwatosa's boys swimming and diving team took seventh place at the 14-team Chuck Walters Memorial Invitational on Dec. 3 at Nicolet High School.

The Hurricanes scored 160.5 team points to finish behind Middleton, Verona-Mount Horeb, Grafton, Nicolet, Marquette and Cedarburg.

Senior Danny Larson won the 100-yard freestyle in 48.29 seconds and tied for second place in the 100 IM in 55.44 seconds.

Senior Cal Hartt placed third in the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 48.98 seconds and came in fifth in the 50 butterfly in 24.73 seconds.

The Hurricanes also took third in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1 minute, 36.94 seconds.

Junior Nick Thuli came in 10th in the 200 IM in 2 minutes, 18.57 seconds and 12th in the 50 breaststroke in 31.67 seconds. Senior Caleb Vollmers was 11th in the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 57.69 seconds and in the 100 freestyle in 53.57 seconds.

Wauwatosa was slated to swim at the Woodland Conference Relays at Cudahy High School on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The Hurricanes will also compete at the Fort Atkinson Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 10.
