Wauwatosa West's girls basketball team fell, 72-50, to state-ranked Kettle Moraine in its season opener on Nov. 18.

The Trojans trailed, 42-27, at halftime but pulled to within 10 points in the fourth quarter before the Lasers, ranked No. 8 in the preseason Wissports.net Division 1 poll, pulled away late.

Junior guard Olivia Lefevre led Tosa West with 15 points, finishing 5-for-8 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Tosa West received contributions from all nine players it had available. Kayleigh Reske added nine points; Emily Wagy had six points, four assists and five rebounds; Margaret Radske had six points and four rebounds; and Emma Elliott grabbed six rebounds.

Dasia Davis filled the stat sheet with six points, eight rebounds, four steals and six blocked shots.

Tosa West shot 7-for-26 from the field, 9-for-20 from the foul line and 9-for-25 on 3-point attempts. The Trojans finished with 18 turnovers but also blocked 13 shots.
