Wauwatosa West sophomore Julia Larson earned two medals with a pair of top-six finishes at the WIAA Division 2 state meet on Nov. 11 at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison.

The Trojans earned 40.5 points to finish in 18th place as a team.

Larson took third place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.98, finishing behind Edgewood junior Kelly Rodriguez (1:49.41) and McFarland senior Marissa Wolff (1:54.43).

She also medaled in the 100 freestyle, tying for sixth place with Madelyn Hammer of Monroe/New Glarus by completing the race in 53.70 seconds.

The Trojans took 15th place in the 200 freestyle relay, as the team of senior Jessica Wilson, freshman Bridget Thuli, junior Ashley Salomone and Larson posted a time of 1:43.95.

Junior Megan Krummel, Wilson, Thuli and Larson took 13th in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:45.89.
