Playing at the loaded Homestead sectional at Mee Kwon Park on Oct. 4, Wauwatosa's co-op girls golf team shot a 381 to take fifth place out of eight teams.

Homestead won the sectional with a 331, while Brookfield Central defeated Franklin in a playoff hole for the second state tournament berth after both teams tied for second with a 333. DSHA fired a 356 to take fourth, followed by Wauwatosa at 381.

Senior Katie Gastrau tied for eighth place among individuals with an 84, missing qualifying for the state tournament as an individual by just three strokes.

Freshman Rachel Kauflin tied for 16th with an 89. Rounding out the Wauwatosa lineup were sophomore Allie Boeckmann (99), junior Alex Ramos (109) and freshman Chandler Yow (147).
