The Wauwatosa Swordfish swimming club was represented by 14-year-old Bridget Thuli at the Wisconsin 13 and over Long Course State Championship Meet from Aug. 4-7 at the Rec Plex in Pleasant Prairie.
Thuli was the only member of the Swordfish to qualify for the 13 and over state meet. She swam a 3:05.93 in the 200-meter breaststroke, dropping almost two seconds off her time. She dropped over a second off her 100-meter breaststroke time to finish in 1:24.93 and break a club record that stood for six years. She swam the 200-meter individual medley in a time of 2:49.98.
Thuli will compete this fall on the swimming and diving team at Wauwatosa West High School.
