The Wauwatosa Police Department is asking for help in identifying a man they say made some concerning statements about a child.
At 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, the Wauwatosa Police Department responded to a report of suspicious circumstances or disorderly conduct which occurred about 20 minutes earlier at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road.
A news release from the department said it was reported that an unknown man approached the complainant and the complainant’s 15-month-old child while they were inside the mall. The man made "concerning and threatening comments" to the complainant regarding the child, the release said.
Police say the man is described as white, 25-40 years old with a medium build and long blond hair pulled back in a ponytail. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt with the number “12” on it in dark numbers, grayish-colored jeans and white sneakers. The man also has an unknown tattoo or tattoos on his right forearm.
Police say the public is not in any immediate danger but they want to identify and speak with the man regarding the incident.
