Milwaukee lawyer John D. Osinga of Osinga Law Offices will host a public seminar on how the use of Wisconsin’s Open Records Law can shed light on the operations of public school districts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Radisson Milwaukee West, 2303 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa.
The presentation will feature the public records and sworn testimony from an open records case Osinga initiated in 2015 (Case No. 15-CV-004759 filed in the Circuit Court of Milwaukee County), according to a news release. The case was brought against the Wauwatosa School District, and the court found that the district committed multiple violations of the Open Records Law. As a result of the decision, the district paid $25,000 toward Osinga’s attorney fees.
Those interested in attending the seminar can email firstname.lastname@example.org with the names and numbers of those attending.
