Tosa’s All-City Read committee has announced the winners of this year’s writing and visual arts contests. Aspiring writers were asked to write an original essay that represented the theme of “neighbors,” corresponding to this year’s book, “A Man Called Ove” by Fredrik Backman. Aspiring artists were asked to create a piece, using virtually any medium, that followed themes from the book, including grief, aging, order vs. disorder, community, diversity, destiny, acceptance and change.

Winning essays and photos of the artwork are posted on the Tosa’s All-City Read website at www.TosasAllCityRead.com/contests. The winning artwork is on display in the gallery outside the Student Commons at the Wauwatosa Public Library.
