Are you aware of an outstanding exterior improvement to a property in Wauwatosa that is over 50 years old? Nominations for the 2017 city of Wauwatosa Historic Preservation Commission annual POP (Preservation of Properties) awards are being accepted until Feb. 17. This is your chance to recognize and express appreciation to people who take care of their property and who make your neighborhood a good place to live.
POP Awards are presented each year to honor exterior improvements to residential, commercial and public property in the city of Wauwatosa. The nominated property must be at least 50 years old and the improvements must have been completed within five years prior to the date of nomination. The commission will evaluate applications that best reflect the Historical Guidelines Manual.
Official applications can be obtained from the city Planning Division as well as on the city’s website at www.wauwatosa.net. The award will be presented at the May 2 common council meeting in honor of Historic Preservation Month.
