Meet the Author: The Wauwatosa Woman’s Club, 1626 N Wauwatosa Ave., is hosting author Rochelle Pennington, who will speak about the shipwreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, a freighter that disappeared into a stormy Lake Superior in 1975. The Hidden History of Dickens’ "The Christmas Carol": The Suburban Woman's Club of Wauwatosa will meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Civic Center, 7600 North Ave. Rochelle Pennington will unlock the hidden history behind the 1843 Christmas classic "The Christmas Carol" as she takes a close-up look at the literary genius of Charles Dickens. Children’s Theatre of Wauwatosa auditions: Children in grades 3 through 7 are invited to try out for the 2017 Children's Theatre of Wauwatosa "Little Theatres" troupe production of "Rumpelstiltskin." This play will be performed at all Wauwatosa public and parochial schools in March and April. Five casts will be selected.
