Christ King School in Wauwatosa provides an excellent academic foundation, preparing students for high school and beyond, within the rich spiritual traditions of the Catholic faith. The school is hosting several informational events in the month of January, providing the public the opportunity to explore the classrooms and meet faculty, staff, current parents and students. Events include:
Monday, Jan. 16: All Grade Shadow/Bring a Friend to School Day. Visitors and friends can accompany a student in the AM, PM or Full-Day sessions. Parents are invited to join their child or meet with the principal for a Q&A and tour of the school.
Monday, Jan. 16: Kindergarten Open House, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Prospective parents and children can hear from the principal and kindergarten teachers and tour the classrooms and child care space. Crafts and activities will be available during the parent meeting.
Tuesday, Jan. 31: All Grade Open House & Ice Cream Social, 6 to 8 p.m. During Catholic Schools Week, the school will conduct tours and offer the chance to share ice cream and conversation with current families.
One of the offerings at our recent Auction for Education was a “Talent Section” in which middle school students and staff members offered a specific activity. Parents were able to sign up their children for one of the talent offerings. On Monday, Dec. 19, we hosted this Talent Day. Offerings were varied and included activities such as hurling, volleyball, taekwondo, dance, fencing and soccer, among others. This was a fun way for students to share their talents while making money for the school!
