In the spirit of the holiday season, the Milwaukee County Zoo is pleased to offer free admission to all visitors from Monday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 30. After all of the holiday excitement, this is the perfect time to spend a relaxing day with family at the zoo and meet some of its new residents, including the three Amur tiger cubs, harbor seal pup Triton, Eastern black rhino Jozi, and six new Japanese macaque monkeys.
The zoo also has many winter-loving animals such as polar bear, Snow Lilly, as well as caribou and elk herds that are at their most active during cooler temperatures. Additionally, there are many toasty-warm indoor exhibits for visitors to view the diverse animal collection in comfort, such as the Small Mammals, Aquatic & Reptile Center and Stearns Family Apes of Africa buildings.
Make sure to get in a trip to the zoo before the kids return to school. During Free Admission Week, the Milwaukee County Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Regular parking and concession fees apply. For more information, please contact the zoo’s Marketing and Communications Division at 414-265-5466 or visit the zoo’s website at milwaukeezoo.org.
