Wauwatosa Woman’s Club Tea: Representatives of the Little Read Book will review some of the best of today’s bestsellers at 1 p.m. at the club, 1626 Wauwatosa Ave. Reservations are not necessary and guests are welcome. Copies will be available for sale along with children’s books.

Christmas Festival Concert: The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir, Chamber Choir and Chapel Choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. (also Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday) in the Center for Arts and Performance Schwan Concert Hall, 8815 W. “The World Goes ‘Round”: The Tosa East Players will present this musical at 7:30 p.m. (also Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday) at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave. Tickets cost $15 per adult, $12 per senior citizen or student, $10 per student with Activity Pass or senior with a Gold Pass, and $8 for children 10 and younger. Saturday 12/3

Open Swim: The swimming pool at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., will be open to the public from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Admission costs $2 per adult, $1 per child up to age 17 and $1 for adults 62 and older. Children 7 and younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Water wings, inflated tubes, masks and snorkels are not allowed.

Kinderkonzert: The Wauwatosa West Orchestra will host its Kinderkonzert for the community at 1 and 2:30 p.m. in the Wauwatosa West High School auditorium, 11400 W. Center St. The day also includes holiday music, a visit with Santa, treats, and children’s art projects.

Family Free Day: Admission to the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, is free throughout the day. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking and concession fees still apply.

Lunch with Santa: Lunch with Santa will be served at noon (also on Sunday) at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road. Live music will be offered, and each child will get a gift. Tickets cost $20 per child or adult; children 2 and younger get in for $6. Price includes Zoo admission and lunch. Zoological Society membership is not valid. Parking costs $12.

A Kneeland-Walker Holiday: The Kneeland-Walker House, 7406 Hillcrest Drive, will be decorated for the holiday and open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. (also Sunday). Enjoy warm cider and cookies. The event is free.

Wauwatosa Woman’s Club Christmas in Tosa: This dinner and auction fundraiser will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the club, 1626 Wauwatosa Ave. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for appetizers, wine, beer, Christmas drinks and other beverages. A buffet dinner will be offered, along with silent and live auctions and door prizes. The Jackson Park Jazz Orchestra will provide dance music. The event supports the club and its community service.

Sunday 12/4

Packers vs. Texans: The game will be shown on a 10-foot projection screen and 60-inch LED televisions in the Grand Hall at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The beer garden will be open.

Monday 12/5

Rhyme Time: Children up to 3 years of age are invited to enjoy a 20-minute session featuring nursery rhymes, stories, songs, finger plays and more at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. An adult must attend with the child; older siblings are welcome.

Card game: The Wauwatosa Senior Club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to play cards at the Wauwatosa Civic Center, 7725 W. North Ave. The club is open to all area residents 50 or older and is sponsored by the Wauwatosa School District Recreation Department. For information, call 414-479-8900, ext. 5789.

Stress, Holiday & Brain Health: Vesta Senior Network, a locally owned senior care consulting firm, will sponsor Nancy Kennedy, neuropsychologist and founder of Brainzest, who will share information about how the brain works and how stress affects it at 6:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. This free program will address effective strategies for managing stress and enjoying the holiday season. Refreshments will be provided. All Aboard Tosa Cares CP Holiday Train: The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train and Live Show will take place from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the Village, near the railroad tracks in front of the Little Red Store. The cost is free. Cash and food donations will be collected for Tosa Cares, the local food pantry.

Karaoke: Take the stage and sing during Karaoke Night at the Chancery, 7615 W. State St., at 9 p.m. This event is held every Wednesday.

Backgammon tourney: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club will host a tournament at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. The tournament includes a Main Flight and a Consolation Flight — guaranteeing at least two 5-point matches for everyone who enters — plus an optional side pool. The entry fee is $6.
