Open Swim: The swimming pool at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., will be open to the public from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Admission costs $2 per adult, $1 per child up to age 17 and $1 for adults 62 and older. Children 7 and younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Water wings, inflated tubes, masks and snorkels are not allowed.

Packers vs. Eagles: The game will be shown on a 10-foot projection screen and 60-inch LED televisions in the Grand Hall at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The beer garden will be open.

Card game: The Wauwatosa Senior Club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to play cards at the Wauwatosa Civic Center, 7725 W. North Ave. The club is open to all area residents 50 or older and is sponsored by the Wauwatosa School District Recreation Department. For information, call 414-479-8900, ext. 5789.

Preparing for Long-Term Care: A Gift Your Family Deserves: Luther Manor, 4545 W. 92nd St., will host a free event of interest to seniors and family members at 5:30 p.m. Greg Buxa, financial associate from Thrivent Financial, will discuss considerations to plan for as one considers the future and how to fund it. Learning, Coping and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver: Former Gov. Martin J. Schreiber will offer a candid and insightful view into his journey as caregiver to his wife, Elaine, who lives with Alzheimer’s disease. Backgammon tourney: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club will host a tournament at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. The tournament includes a Main Flight and a Consolation Flight — guaranteeing at least two 5-point matches for everyone who enters — plus an optional side pool. The entry fee is $6.
