Thursday 11/3

Family Storytime: The whole family can participate in stories, songs and movement during this session at 6:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. Just drop by.

Graham Beck Wine Tasting: Taste Graham Beck sparkling and still wines from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and learn about the wines at The Ruby Tap Tosa, 1341 N. Wauwatosa Ave. The cost is $5 per person.

Friday 11/4

Student art show opening reception: Wisconsin Lutheran, 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave., will host an opening reception for its student art show from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Schlueter Art Gallery, Center for Arts and Performance. The reception is free. The show runs from Nov. 4 to Nov. 22.

Toasting for Tosa West Fall gala: Help raise money to benefit a college scholarship fund for Wauwatosa West High School students by attending a gala at 6:30 p.m.at the Radisson Hotel Milwaukee West, 2303 N. Mayfair Road. This adults-only event features entertainment by singer/songwriter Ryan McIntyre, along with live and silent auctions featuring sporting goods, electronics, event tickets, restaurant gift certificates and more. Buckthorn Removal: The Friends of Hoyt Park and Pool invites community members to join them in removing the invasive species buckthorn from Hoyt Park from 9 a.m. to noon. To take part, register at parkpeoplemke.org or email Michael at michael.kreuser@tosapool.com.

Family Free Day: Entrance to the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, will be free from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking and concession fees still apply.

Open Swim: The swimming pool at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., will be open to the public from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Admission costs $2 per adult, $1 per child up to age 17 and $1 for adults 62 and older. Children 7 and younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Water wings, inflated tubes, masks and snorkels are not allowed.

Sunday 11/6

Packers vs. Colts: The game will be shown on a 10-foot projection screen and 60-inch LED televisions in the Grand Hall at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. The beer garden will be open.

Monday 11/7

Thrift Shop: The St. Jude Thrift Shop, 822 Glenview Ave., will offer men’s jeans, khakis and dress pants at half-price from noon to 6 p.m.

Story Time: Children 3 to 6 years of age can discover stories, prereading skills, songs, movement and crafts at 1:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave.

Card game: The Wauwatosa Senior Club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to play cards at the Wauwatosa Civic Center, 7725 W. North Ave. The club is open to all area residents 50 or older and is sponsored by the Wauwatosa School District Recreation Department. For information, call 414-479-8900, ext. 5789.

Wednesday 11/9

Karaoke: Take the stage and sing during Karaoke Night at the Chancery, 7615 W. State St., at 9 p.m. This event is held every Wednesday.

Backgammon play: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club invites all players, from novice to advanced, to its open play night of heads-up games, multiplayer chouettes, and beginner lessons at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W.
