Music at The Landing at Hoyt: The Verdict Band will perform classic rock from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd.

“Hotel Transylvania”: Tosa Pediatrics, 8651 W. North Ave., will host a free family-friendly movie event at 6:30 p.m. in their parking lot. They will be showing the movie "Hotel Transylvania" and serving free popcorn. Bring your chairs/blankets and dress up in a costume, if you'd like.

“Victory for Victoria”: Milwaukee Opera Theatre will perform this original musical about Victoria Woodhull, the first woman to run for the U.S. presidency at 7:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Woman’s Club, 1626 Wauwatosa Ave. Tickets cost $16 for this opening night performance. Order tickets at victoryforvictoria.bpt.me or by calling 800-838-3006.

Friday 10/28     

Music at The Landing at Hoyt: The Front Porch Rockers will entertain at the Ghostly Gathering from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd. A costume contest will be held. Treats will be available for all ages.

“Victory for Victoria”: Milwaukee Opera Theatre will perform this original musical about Victoria Woodhull, the first woman to run for the U.S. presidency at 7:30 p.m. (also 4 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday) at the Wauwatosa Woman’s Club, 1626 Wauwatosa Ave. Tickets cost $28 for general admission and $18 for students and artists. Music at The Landing at Hoyt: Will Ulrich will perform acoustic versions of pop songs from the past 50 years from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd.

Sunday 10/30   

Last Day at The Landing Outdoor Beer Garden: Enjoy one last hurrah (for 2016) at the outdoor beer garden at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., from noon to 9 p.m. 

Packers vs. Falcons: The game will be shown on a 10-foot projection screen and 60-inch LED televisions in the Grand Hall at The Landing at Hoyt Park and Pool, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., from noon to 3 p.m. The beer garden will be open.

Trick or Treat: Ghosts, goblins and princesses will head out in search of treats from 1 to 4 p.m.

Tuesday 11/1      

Rhyme Time: Children up to 3 years of age are invited to enjoy a 20-minute session featuring nursery rhymes, stories, songs, finger plays and more at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. An adult must attend with the child; older siblings are welcome.

Card game: The Wauwatosa Senior Club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to play cards at the Wauwatosa Civic Center, 7725 W. North Ave. The club is open to all area residents 50 or older and is sponsored by the Wauwatosa School District Recreation Department. For information, call 414-479-8900, ext. 5789.

Rhyme Time: Children up to 3 years of age are invited to enjoy a 20-minute session featuring nursery rhymes, stories, songs, finger plays and more at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. An adult must attend with the child; older siblings are welcome.

Sandwich & a Steinway: Zoe Biller and Don Weast will perform classical and jazz music from noon to 1 p.m. at the Steinway Piano Gallery of Milwaukee, 11550 W. North Ave. For information, call the store at 414-727-5995. A $5 donation is suggested.

Backgammon tourney: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club will host a tournament at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. The tournament includes a Main Flight and a Consolation Flight — guaranteeing at least two 5-point matches for everyone who enters — plus an optional side pool. The entry fee is $6.
