Wauwatosa has a number of events scheduled to commemorate the July Fourth holiday. Here's what's planned:

The Wauwatosa Civic Celebration Committee will hold a Fourth of July parade from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 4. The parade travels west on North Avenue between 80th and 104th streets. This year's parade will include several new marching bands, floats, veteran associations and antique autos.

From 4 to 9 p.m. July 4, inflatable rides and musical entertainment can be found at Hart Park, 7300 W. Chestnut St. Food and drink concessions will also be available.

Entertainment at the Hart Park Rotary Stage kicks off at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Espirit Poms. Five Card Studs will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks sponsored by Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin will begin at 9:15 p.m. Fireworks can be viewed best from the open area between 70th and 72nd streets and the Hart Park Rotary Stage. In case of rain, fireworks will be held Tuesday, July 5.
