Highland games

coming to Hart Park

The Milwaukee Highland Games are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Hart Park, 7300 Chestnut St. The games will be held rain or shine.

Tickets are $10 for adults; children 12 and younger are free; active military in uniform are also free. There is $3 off before 10 a.m. with a per person donation of nonperishable food item to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Milwaukee.

Parking on the festival grounds is available for $3 on a first come, first served basis. Enter off 70th Street. No coolers or food may be brought into the park.

Windows Into Wauwatosa coming up on June 18

The Neighborhood Association Council of Wauwatosa will host its fourth Windows Into Wauwatosa, a free, citywide event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18. The event allows visitors to tour 20 locations in the city.

Peek inside historic sites, community buildings, schools, churches and businesses to learn about these Wauwatosa landmarks rarely open to the public.

New sites featured this year include Hawthorn Glen Nature Museum; the Wisconsin Lutheran College's athletic fields, locker rooms and indoor recreation facility; and the Tosa Cares Food Pantry. Making repeat appearances are the newly renovated Ronald McDonald House and Secret Gardens; Technology Innovation Center (the former Muirdale Sanitarium); Blanchard Street Pumping Station; the Planetarium at Tosa West; and many more unique sites.
