at Spring Weed Out

The Park Ridge Neighborhood Association is hosting its annual Spring Weed Out from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, on Menomonee River Parkway at Woodward Avenue

Donate an hour of your time to help remove garlic mustard, an invasive plant, in order to enhance the newly improved parkway. Bring gloves and large trash bags.

Barnes and Noble, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, presents award-winning author Gary Moore from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25.

Join the city for its Memorial Day ceremony

Wauwatosa's Civic Celebration Committee, with the city, is holding this year's Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 30, at Longfellow Middle School, 7600 W. North Ave.

Wauwatosa pays tribute to our country's men and women who have fallen in the line of duty fighting to preserve our liberties.

Woman's Club hosts musical breakfast

The Wauwatosa Woman's Club, 1626 N. Wauwatosa Ave., hosts its spring breakfast at noon Thursday, May 19.

The annual May breakfast offers a 30-minute light song program, Dream with Me — Song Bouquet, featuring images of spring, nature and love.

Cost of the luncheon is $15.
