Versona opens April 28

Upscale women's boutique Versona will open at The Mayfair Collection this month, according to a news release from the company.

Versona offers apparel and accessories to its shoppers, all organized by color and trends, and will open at the shopping center, 11500 W. Burleigh St., on April 28. The store is expected to employ about 25 people.

The store will open in the space between Carhartt and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse. Versona is owned by Charlotte, N.C.-based The Cato Corporation.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tosa chamber offers sales training session

The Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce, together with Sandler Training, is offering a program called 'Sales Strategy — Stop Convincing, Start Selling,' from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the chamber offices, 10437 Innovation Drive, Suite 119. The forum will pose the question: How well are you managing the selling process with your buyers? The forum is free to chamber members. Meijer stores to sponsor YMCA 'Healthy Kids Day'

Meijer is sponsoring YMCA of Greater Waukesha County's Healthy Kids Day events on Friday, April 29.

Wauwatosa is home to a Meijer store at 11111 W. Burleigh St., and Wauwatosa's YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., falls under the umbrella of the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County.

This is 25th annual YMCA's Healthy Kids Day. Events feature activities such as games, healthy cooking demonstrations, and arts and crafts to motivate and teach families how to develop healthy routines at home.

All five branches of the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County, are hosting free, open-to-the-public, community events to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active.

The Wauwatosa Y will host an event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29.

Sendik's celebrates

its 90th anniversary

Sendik's is marking its 90th anniversary.

To celebrate the event, all Sendik's grocery store locations will participate in a variety of specials that began April 20 and continue to May 3. Some lucky customer will win a giveaway trip to Italy, and there will be others getting trips to several Wisconsin destinations. Scratch-off tickets with offers from vendors, gift cards and other deals will be at every location.

Sendik's recently purchased Grasch's grocery store in Brookfield, and has a store at 8616 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa. It has 13 locations in the greater Milwaukee area.

St. Camillus breaks ground on expansion

St. Camillus, 10100 W. Wisconsin Ave., which operates the San Camillo retirement community, was scheduled to break ground this month on a 72-unit assisted living building. The new building will include apartments for both memory care and elderly residents, a new 50-unit Jesuit building with its own chapel and a three-story, 20-unit house for priests and brothers.

'This is a monumental time for St. Camillus and we are eager to share our journey with the greater community,' said St. Camillus CEO Rick Johnson. 'As we look to the future, we are excited about continuing our tradition of excellence and embracing our mission through the expansion of the services we provide.'
