WauwaTiki opens for business on North Avenue
WauwaTiki, a tiki bar and restaurant at 6502 W. North Ave., opened to the public April 4 at 4 p.m., according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
The venue opened in the remodeled Home Solutions USA building on West North Avenue, across the street from East Tosa Guitars and near Cafe Blue.
The bar serves a number of tiki drinks, including Vic's Mai Tai for $11, an over-proof rum float with light and dark rum, dry curacao, orgeat, lime and mint, and signature drinks like the WauwaTiki Sour for $11, made with aged barbados rum, lemon, lime, simple syrup and egg white.
Milwaukee NARI plans annual rummage sale
The Milwaukee NARI Foundation, Inc., the educational and charitable arm of the Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Council, Inc., will host its 11th annual home improvement rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the parking lot of Milwaukee NARI member Milwaukee Millwork, 11712 W. Dixon St.
Some of the materials likely to be for sale include appliances, awnings, lumber, decking materials, windows, lighting fixtures, and much more.
Merchandise that remains at the close of the sale at 4:00 p.m. will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County, Inc.
Any person who makes a rummage sale purchase will receive two tickets for the 2016 Milwaukee NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15. Attendees also will receive the 2016 Milwaukee NARI Membership Directory and the association's Remodeling Guide.
Chamber offers forum
on sales strategy
The Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce, 10437 Innovation Drive, Suite 119, will host a forum called Sales Strategy: Stop Convincing, Start Selling, co-sponsored by Sandler Training. The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. April 27 at the chamber offices.
The forum will pose the question: How well are you managing the selling process with your buyers?
The forum is free to chamber members.

Ray's Wine & Spirits offers a 'Tasting Tour of Spain'
Ray's Wine & Spirits, 8930 W. North Ave., will offer A Tasting Tour of Spain in its wine bar beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3. The event will feature guide Nate Norfolk, who will elucidate the long history of Spanish wine-making, and highlight some of its special tastes and best values.
