City offers free home repairs
to qualified applicants
The city of Wauwatosa is offering free critical home repair services to low- and moderate-income families.
Through a partnership with Community First, the city strives to enhance the quality of life for homeowners by addressing critical repairs like roofing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC issues.
To qualify, applicants must have owned their home for at least five years and meet other eligibility criteria including:
· Property must be owner-occupied and a single-family or duplex
· Homeowner must have homeowner's insurance
· The owner must not be in bankruptcy
· The owner must meet income guidelines

Absentee voting set for weeks of March 21, 28
In-person absentee voting will take place the weeks of March 21 and March 28 for the April 5 presidential preference vote and spring election.
The Wauwatosa clerk's office at city hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for in-person absentee voting during those two weeks, and until 5 p.m. April 1.
City hall, 7725 W. North Ave., will be closed March 25, but the clerk's office will remain open for absentee voting between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Voters must show photo identification prior to receiving a ballot and will be allowed to vote for candidates in one party only.
