Irie Zulu holds fundraiser to benefit school

The new African and Jamaican restaurant in Wauwatosa, Irie Zulu, 7237 W. North Ave., will hold a fundraiser throughout January that benefits Wauwatosa Catholic School.

Ten percent of all sales will benefit the school. Customers are welcome to dine in, take out or buy gift items that benefit the school, in the Wauwatosa Village.

Wisconsin Lutheran

hosts 'Musaik' concert

Wisconsin Lutheran College, 8815 W. Bluemound Road, hosts a 'Sound of Musaik' concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, in the college's Schwan Concert Hall.

Tickets are $25, or $15 for students.

Milwaukee Musaik (formerly the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra) is a consortium of musicians dedicated to an imaginative concert experience.

Conductor Alexander Mandl leads a plethora of soloists from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in a concertante tonal prism.

Student tickets are available only in person at the box office. Student-priced tickets may require a student ID at the time of purchase and upon entrance to the event. Student price applies to all students, elementary through college.

Tosa Chamber holding its annual showcase, social

The Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual member showcase and social from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Radisson Hotel, 2303 North Mayfair Road.

Kick off the new year and celebrate the community at the Wauwatosa Chamber's annual Community Showcase and Social. Attendees can visit with chamber member exhibitors, and the program honors the Bartolotta restaurants.

Attendees can enjoy a delicious buffet and passed hors d'oeuvres, raffle giveaways, gift cards and wine pulls and more.

The major sponsor of the event is Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Corporate sponsorships are available at $350 for a table of eight, with event signage.
