Nominate a Distinguished Citizen: Since 1964, the Wauwatosa Distinguished Award Council has annually recognized qualified individuals who have made a distinguished contribution to the community life of Wauwatosa. Nominations are being accepted for Wauwatosa's 2015 Citizen of the Year through Friday. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Wild Instagram contest:The Zoological Society of Milwaukee is holding an Instagram contest at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, through Feb. 18. Each week will have a theme, and a team of judges will look at the entries to pick a winner each Friday. From Jan. 8 to 14, the theme is big cats; upload entries to Instagram using the hashtags #WildWinterMKEZoo #Catstagram. Winners will receive a gift certificate that can be used toward a zoo pass, education classes and camps, animal sponsorships and Zoological Society events.
Sign up for a trip to the Domes:Today is the last day to sign up for the 'Winter Escape Trip to the Domes' day trip through the Hart Park Senior Center.
