Burglary

A male and female in a stolen Ford Focus were interrupted as they tried to burglarize a home in the 4200 block of North 93rd Street around 1:20 p.m. Aug. 22. The suspects fled the area but were later located by Wauwatosa police at a BP gas station near 76th Street and Capitol Drive in Milwaukee. A short pursuit ensued but the suspects got away.

A bicycle was taken from a garage in the 8200 block of Stickney Avenue between July 1 and Aug. 22. Police believe the bicycle was later recovered.

Someone burglarized a residence in the 6000 block of West Wells Street between 10 p.m. Aug. 22 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 23.

Between 6:30 and 7:40 p.m. Aug. 24, someone entered a home in the 2600 block of North 67th Street through the screen of an open window. The suspect took a 2003 Chevrolet Astro van with keys.

Three bicycles were taken from a home in the 1300 block of North 63rd Court between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24.

Someone reported around 5:20 p.m. Aug. 25 that a suspect had rummaged through a vehicle and then took one set of jumper cables form their home in the 2500 block of North 71st Street.

Theft

A small knife was taken from a vehicle in the 7400 block of West Clarke Street around 6:20 a.m. Aug. 21.

Someone took cash from a locked vehicle parked in the street in the 9400 block of West Palmetto Avenue around 9:40 a.m. Aug. 21.

Someone took items from At Home, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, around 11:05 a.m. Aug. 21 and fled in a red Chevrolet Impala with no license plates.

A male was cited for $39.50 in retail theft, possession of marijuana and for an out-of-jurisdiction warrant while he was at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road. The man had .26 grams of marijuana.

A male was cited for $36.50 in retail theft at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

Two people driving a black SUV that towed a trailer took 11 40-pound propane tanks from an unlocked cage at 3000 N. 114th St., around 10:50 a.m. Aug. 21.

A female was cited for $232.97 worth of retail theft at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, around 6:10 p.m. Aug. 22.

A female was cited for retail theft at Lowe’s, 11100 W. Burleigh St., after she was found with $52.92 worth of concealed merchandise inside her purse.

A woman’s purse was taken while she was playing a game at Dave & Busters, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle stolen out of Milwaukee.

A female took two pairs of sunglasses valued at $440 from Sunglass Hut, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 8:15 and 8:20 p.m. Aug. 22.

Two females were involved in a retail theft at Target, 3900 N. 124th St. One of the females pushed, scratched and bit a loss prevention officer. The suspects fled the scene in a mid-sized silver SUV with unknown license plates.

Around 11:20 a.m. Aug. 23, someone took a purse from an unlocked vehicle as the victim was filling her vehicle up with gas at Currie Park Citgo, 10745 W. Capitol Drive. The suspect fled in a black Dodge Journey, which had been involved in other thefts from autos and was reported stolen through the Menomonee Falls Police Department. The theft total was $878.

A male suspect took a 2014 Chevy Malibu that was parked on the southeast corner of 61st and Wells streets between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 23. The car keys were taken in a residential burglary.

Someone took a mountain bike from a front porch in the 8200 block of Red Arrow Court between 8 a.m. and noon Aug. 23.

A tool bag was taken from a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of North 91st Street between noon and 3 p.m. Aug. 23.

A male was cited for $246.91 in retail theft at Meijer, 11111 W. Burleigh St., at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23.

The rear license plate was taken from a vehicle while it was parked in the 600 block of North 104th Street between 1 and 5 p.m. Aug. 22.

A vehicle was taken from a driveway in the 6900 block of West Meinecke Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 23. The vehicle, a silver 2009 Volkswagon Jetta was left unlocked and running in the driveway. No suspects were observed but a .22 caliber firearm loaded with 11 rounds was in the glove box.

A 1999 black Chrysler was taken from a driveway in the 1800 block of North 73rd Street between 12 and 4 a.m. Aug. 24.

Someone took two men’s mountain bikes from an unattached garage in the 2100 block of North 64th Street between 2:30 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24.

A male was cited for $313.14 in retail theft at Goodwill, 12121 W. Feerick St., around 2:22 p.m. Aug. 24.

A portable basketball hoop was taken in the 2400 block of North 65th Street between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 24.

A $200 cell phone was taken from the food court area at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around 7:10 p.m. Aug. 24.

Someone took a 2015 Honda Odyssey from a driveway in the 1700 block of North 74th Street between 10 p.m. Aug. 24 and 8 a.m. Aug. 25.

A female was cited for retail theft at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., around 3:15 p.m. Aug. 25.

A male took $708 worth of merchandise from Meijer, 11111 W. Burleigh St., around 4:10 p.m. Aug. 25.

Someone took 14 hats worth $329.86 from Name of the Game, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around 3:05 p.m. Aug. 25.

A male was cited for retail theft at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, Aug. 27 for a theft that occurred Aug. 25.

A female reported around 3:20 a.m. Aug. 26 that $300 of cash and an iPhone were taken from her vehicle. A field interrogation was done at North 83rd Street and West North Avenue and the purse was dropped by a fleeing suspect.

A bicycle was taken from behind the Chancery, 7615 W. State St., around 11:50 p.m. Aug. 26. The bicycle chain was found at the scene and had been cut.

Someone took a stop sign from the southwest corner of North 72nd and West Wells streets between 4 p.m. Aug. 26 and 11 a.m. Aug. 27.

A bicycle was taken from Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 W. Milwaukee Ave., between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23.

Other

A male was taken into custody on a felony extraditable warrant from Du Page County, Illinois during an investigation at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around 7:15 p.m. Aug. 23.

A male was cited for possession of intoxicants in a city park around 11:10 p.m. Aug. 26 at Hart Park, 7300 Chestnut Street.

A male was cited for operating a vehicle without owner’s consent during a traffic stop in the 2600 block of North 84th Street around 10:40 a.m. Aug. 27.

A vehicle crashed into a residence in the 2000 block of Swan Boulevard causing significant structural damage around 11:20 p.m. Aug. 27. A juvenile was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and underage alcohol consumption.
