Robbery

A 2008 Honda Odyssey was taken during a strong-armed robbery at a Shell gas station, 641 Hawley Road, around 12:08 a.m. Aug. 12. The vehicle was later recovered by Milwaukee police in the 2700 block of North 5th Street and two juvenile suspects were taken into custody.

Burglary

Power tools were taken from a detached garage in the 4600 block of North 105th Street between 7 and 11 p.m. Aug. 6.

Someone broke into a garage in the 1200 block of North 62nd Street and took a mountain bike and two pairs of sunglasses between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 8 a.m. Aug. 7.

A bicycle was taken from the 8200 block of Brookside Place between 7 a.m. Aug. 5 and 8 a.m. Aug. 8.

Someone cut the screen to an enclosed porch and kicked in the back door to a home in the 4300 block of North Mayfair Road around 11:45 p.m. Aug. 9. Nothing was taken.

Someone entered a home in the 2200 block of North 65th Street between 8 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Aug. 10 and took items.

Two people burglarized Mayfair Liquor, 3122 N. Mayfair Road, around 4 a.m. Aug. 12 by prying open a door, causing $1,500 in damage. Nothing was taken.

Someone took two hand tools and four extension cords all valued at $455 from a home in the 600 block of North 72nd Street. There are no suspects.

Someone entered a garage in the 4300 block of North Mayfair Road between 3 p.m. Aug. 11 and noon Aug. 5. Several items were taken.

Two laptop computers were taken during a home burglary in the 8100 block of West Meinecke Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 12 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13.

Theft

An iPhone was taken from a vehicle parked in the 2400 block of North 72nd Street between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 2 a.m. Aug. 7. Suspects were later arrested and the phone was recovered.

A GPS was taken from a Honda CRV parked in a driveway in the 2300 block of North 65th Street between 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7.

Someone reported that their wallet went missing while visiting TJ Maxx, 11500 W. Burleigh St., between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 8. Store employees did not find the missing wallet.

Around 9:45 a.m. Aug. 8, a male attempted to take a minivan parked on the street in the 2600 block of North 74th Street while the vehicle’s owner was loading her child into the van.

A male was cited for $179 in retail theft at Macy’s, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around noon Aug. 8.

Between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Aug. 8, someone took two backpacks that belonged to juveniles who were working on the trails at Hart Park, 7300 W. Chestnut Ave. One backpack contained an iPhone and the other, about $100 worth of goods.

A male was cited for retail theft at Meijer, 11111 W. Burleigh St., around 5:15 p.m. Aug. 8. The man also had a valid commitment warrant with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.

Someone took a catalytic converter from a vehicle while it was parked in the 1000 block of North 115th Street between 7 p.m. Aug. 4 and 8 a.m. Aug. 5.

A man was cited for retail theft at Pick ’n Save, 6950 W. State St., on Aug. 8.

Two juveniles were cited for retail theft at Macy’s, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around 6 p.m. Aug. 8. The suspects took about $588 worth of merchandise.

Someone took a laptop from a vehicle at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2635 N. Mayfair Road, between 5 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Damage to the vehicle was about $250 and the laptop was worth about $1,800.

Someone entered a Jeep and took an old check book with no remaining checks in the 7800 block of West North Avenue between 2 p.m. Aug. 9 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 10. Police believe a homeless person who is known to frequent the area, is a possible suspect.

A female was cited for retail theft after she took $52.78 worth of athletic apparel from TJ Maxx, 11500 W. Burleigh St., around 2 p.m. Aug. 10.

A female took $194.85 worth of merchandise from TJ Maxx, 11500 W. Burleigh St., around 4:45 p.m. Aug. 10.

A male took $114.98 worth of merchandise from Walgreen’s, 10800 W. Capitol Drive, around 4:55 p.m. Aug. 10.

Someone took a woman’s wallet while she was in line at Auntie Anne’s at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, around 2:45 p.m. Aug. 11.

A female took a $21.99 bottle of New Amsterdam vodka from Walgreen’s, 2656 Wauwatosa Ave., around 6:45 p.m. Aug. 11.

Two power tools were taken from the 4700 block of North 124th Street around 2:20 p.m. Aug. 12.

A woman was cited for $49.95 in retail theft and trespassing at Hollister, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 12.

Between 7 p.m. Aug. 12 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 13, a 2011 Subaru Outback was taken without keys from a driveway in the 2100 block of Crestview Court.

Drug possession

A man was cited for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 9800 block of West Capitol Drive around 9:35 p.m. Aug. 11.

A male was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia around 9:55 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 2600 block of North 62nd Street.

Other

Around 6:10 p.m. Aug. 10, someone in the 2600 block of North 72nd Street fell victim to a credit card scam and purchased several Apple electronic products and was told to mail them to Ghana. Wauwatosa police learned of the scam and interfered before the products could be mailed overseas. The items are being held for safekeeping at the Wauwatosa Police Department.
