American Spring: A new opera set in Richmond, Virginia in April 1865 as the city is on the verge of burning. The opera set is composed by Wauwatosa native Sam Mullooly and it will be shown at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Black Box Theater at Pius XI High School.

Open Play Backgammon: It's open play night at the Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill at 6317 W. Bluemound Road starting at 6:30 p.m. and lasting past 9 p.m. The event is hosted by the Milwaukee Backgammon Club, and they welcome anyone to join them for head-to-head games, multiplayer chouettes and even lessons for beginners.
