Visitors to this year's Wisconsin State Fair will be able to see Wauwatosa student art on display.
The artwork of students from Wauwatosa East and Wauwatosa West high schools and Whitman Middle School has been selected for display at the 2017 Young People’s Art Exhibit in the Expo Center lobby. The State Fair runs from Aug. 3 through Aug. 13.
Students in grades six through 12 that are currently enrolled in public, private, parochial or home school were eligible to enter their artwork for submission.
Entries were divided into three categories: Junior Division (grades 6-8), Senior Division (grades 9-12) and Special Needs (grades 6-12).

1st Place and Prize Winning Painting Award: Andjelika Milicic for "Barefoot"
1st Place Cash Award Winner Senior Division: Camille Kostick for "Three Queens"
2nd Place Cash Award Winner Senior Division: Isabella Knutsen for "Alarming Rate"
3rd Place Cash Award Winner Special Artworks Division: Jimmy Droese for "Number One"

More than 410 works of art from Wisconsin schools were submitted and a total of 96 awards will be handed out between all the divisions and specialty categories. Entries may include painting, drawing, design, sculpture, craft, photography and ceramic.
