Even old bones have to wait in line.
The skull and bones uncovered Friday, Jan. 20 during a home excavation in the 1700 block of Underwood Avenue were sent to the University of North Texas – Center for Identification. Karen Domagalski from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said they expect to receive results in several months.
According to Domagalski, preliminary analysis of the fragments determined that they were from a human but were thought to be decades old.
At UNT the bones will be examined by a forensic anthropologist utilizing the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System for an anthropological assessment and DNA testing.
