The future of the County Grounds is a hot topic in Wauwatosa.

With an interest in discussing the subject with the public, an organization called Grassroots Tosa is hosting a public forum at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at Whitman Middle School, 11100 Center St.

The meeting will begin with journalist and Wauwatosa resident Jim Price explaining the impact on the community and environment of the city's proposed "master plan" for the County Grounds.

The master plan is the result of an effort by the city of Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, who say they "recognized the need for a collaboratively-planned approach for the area."

Joining Price on the panel will be Dianne Dagelen, Great Waters Group/Sierra Club; Cheryl Nenn, Milwaukee Riverkeeper; Nancy Welch, Wauwatosa Common Council member; and Barb Agnew, Friends of the Monarch Trail.
