The third of three open house public forums involving the future of parks, open space and recreation facilities in Wauwatosa will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at Wauwatosa City Hall.
The city of Wauwatosa and the Wauwatosa School District are conducting a joint study to develop a master plan that addresses the future of parks, trails, open spaces and recreation facilities within the community.
The study, known as Active Tosa, is assessing the current inventory and existing conditions of community amenities and comparing them against community needs and national benchmarks.
The public input will assist city planners with identifying opportunities to improve recreational offerings in Wauwatosa, such as enhanced parks and expanded or refined programming, according to a news release.
The public has been an active part of the study, which has included an online survey and three open houses, the second of which took place Oct. 12.
