Wauwatosa Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the Jan. 27 robbery at BMO Harris Bank, 9210 W. North Ave.

According to Wauwatosa Police Lt. Brian Zalewski, the man was located in Milwaukee and arrested Tuesday, Jan. 31 after an investigation led police to a residence where he was staying.

Zalewski said the man confessed to the robbery and the vehicle he used to get away from the scene has been located.

"He admits to working alone. No one else is being sought," Zalewski said. "He is expected to be officially charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court this week. No criminal complaint has been issued at this time."

Police asked for media assistance in the investigation and the suspect was identified through a tip from a citizen who saw the pictures on an unknown media source.

"Thank you all for getting this information out to your viewers and audiences," Zalewski said. "With your help we were able to quickly identify and apprehend the suspect."
