Swan Pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint and Wauwatosa police are asking for assistance in identifying and apprehending two male suspects they say were involved.
The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Swan Pharmacy, 9130 W. North Ave., according to a news release from the department. During the investigation, video surveillance was discovered that shows that two male suspects entered the pharmacy and demanded and obtained an unknown quantity of prescription narcotic medications. One of the suspects displayed a handgun during the robbery.
One suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, thin build, wearing a maroon “varsity style” jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and gray gloves. He was the suspect that revealed a black semi-automatic handgun.
Suspect number two is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, thin build, wearing a gray/black jacket with a multi-colored scarf.
Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
Police say the suspects "fled the immediate area in a black Lexus SUV with Illinois plates, which was stolen in an armed carjacking in the city of Chicago during the early morning hours of Dec. 28."
The vehicle used in the crime was later recovered by police in the 2600 block of N. 91st Street shortly after the robbery, according to the release.
