OWI

Oct. 2 at 2:28 a.m. a person was arrested for OWI following a motor vehicle crash in the 6500 block of West North Ave. The accused refused to submit to a breath test.

A person was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated Oct. 2 during a crash investigation in the 2300 block of North 68th Street. It was the suspect’s first offense for OWI.

A suspect was found asleep behind the wheel of a car parked in the 7200 block of Saint James Street Oct. 6 at 3:25 a.m. The person was arrested after submitting to a breath field test and had a blood alcohol level of .20.

In the 6800 block of West State Street a person was arrested for OWI Oct. 6 at 3:44 p.m.

Oct. 7 at 9:20 p.m. a person was arrested at the intersection of Watertown Plank Road and Discovery Parkway for OWI after making an improper left turn. The suspect refused a breath test.

Theft

At 5:01 a.m. Oct. 2 two suspects entered an unlocked vehicle in the 3100 block of North Knoll Terrace. It was reported that the suspects fled the area in a silver Acura SUV with no plates.

At 5:09 a.m. Oct 2 in the 3100 block of North 104th Street a person reported that a vehicle parked in the residents’ driveway had been entered. Miscellaneous personal effects were taken and recovered from the roadway a short distance away. Suspects are three teens and were seen driving away in a silver Acura SUV with no plates.

An iPass card was stolen from an unlocked van parked in a driveway in the 101 block of West Highwood Avenue at 5:42 a.m.

Two tool boxes were found in the intersection of N. 101 St. and W. Highwood Ave. at 6:09 a.m. Oct 2.

Between 11:00 p.m. Oct. 1 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 2 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway in the 102 block of West Sunset Ave and used the garage door opener to access a second vehicle parked in the garage. A Canon digital camera was stolen from the vehicle inside the garage.

Suspects riding in a dark green minivan attempted to steal a vehicle Oct. 2 at approximately 11:06 a.m. while the car was parked in the parking lot of the 9440 W. Congress St. building.

Sometime between 3:00 p.m. Sept. 30 and 4:40 p.m. Oct. 2 an unknown person entered a vehicle parked in a parking lot in the 2900 block of North 124th St. The vehicle's ignition switch had been removed. Nothing was missing from the car.

Oct. 3 at 1:04 a.m. someone was seen about to smash a window at Saks off 5th at the Mayfair Collection, 11500 W. Burleigh St. The burglary attempt was interrupted and a police pursuit was initiated. The suspects fled in a stolen silver Kia Optima and were last seen eastbound on W. North Ave near 56th St.

In the 500 block of North 64th Street an unlocked vehicle and a residence were entered through an open window Oct. 3 at 3:11 a.m. Nothing was taken from the vehicle or the residence.

Sometime between 10:00 p.m. Oct. 1 and 8:00 a.m. Oct. 3 someone took roofing materials from the front yard of a residence in the 2300 block of North 67th Street.

A resident reported that Between 6:15 p.m. Oct. 2 and 5:25 a.m. Oct. 3 an unlocked car was entered and a purse was taken in the 2600 block of North 72nd Street.

A handgun was stolen form a car likely parked in a driveway in the 2600 block of North 95th St. The theft allegedly took place between Sept. 25 and Oct. 4. No suspects have been identified.

A person reported that a car was stolen from Russ Darrow Kia of Wauwatosa, 1901 N. Mayfair Road. The car was taken Oct 4 at approximately 6:22 p.m. and keys were utilized in the theft.

Sometime between Oct. 4 at 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Oct. 5 someone broke into a car in the 700 block of North 65th Street and stole a leather shoulder strap bag.

At Lowe’s 12000 W. Burleigh St. someone stole $597.98 worth of power tools Oct. 4 at approximately 1:33 p.m. The person suspected of the theft also allegedly took power tools Sept. 11 at 8:55 a.m. valued at $808, Sept 20 at 3:54 p.m. valued at $239 and Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. valued at $808.

At American Eagle Outfitters inside Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Rd., someone is suspected of  stealing 8 packages of men’s boxers on Oct. 5 at 4:32 p.m.

At approximately 8:22 p.m. Oct. 5 someone took sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut inside Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Rd. Total value of the theft was $1,165.

A suspect was arrested Oct. 6 at 1:06 p.m. for retail theft at Meijer foods, 1111 W. Burleigh St.

Oct. 6 at approximately 3:18 p.m. someone committed a theft of a cell phone and and was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic violence at the Five Guys Burgers inside Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road.

Between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Oct. 7 a person broke a car window parked in the parking lot of Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St.

An employee was arrested at Meijer Foods, 1111 W. Burleigh St. Oct. 8. The theft occurred Oct. 3 with a value taken of $559.92.

Oct 8 at 5:45 p.m. a person was arrested for retail theft at Macy’s inside Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Rd. The items had a value of $91.60 and were recovered.

A car was reported stolen from 4450 N. Mayfair Rd Oct 8 at 4:45 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. and was a 2002 Dodge Caravan.

Robbery

Oct. 3 at approximately 9:49 p.m. a person committed an armed robbery at George Webb's restaurant 12201 W. North Ave. The suspect fled on foot after obtaining cash from the register. The suspect is a male, early/mid 20’s, 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall and between 150 and 170 pounds with short brown hair.

Other

At the Home Depot located at 4100 N. 124th St. a person reported that her credit card information was used numerous times between Sept. 7 and Sept. 9 without her knowledge or consent. The subject reported the acts Oct. 3 and stated that she had her credit card with her during the incidents.

A juvenile was cited for habitual truancy Oct. 3 at about 1:35 p.m. at Wauwatosa West High School located at 11400 W. Center St.

At the Boston Store in Mayfair Mall, 2400 N. Mayfair Rd, a person was arrested for outstanding felony warrant Oct 3 at approximately 7:17 p.m.

A complaint was filed Oct 4 at Walgreen’s, 6600 W. State St. that someone fraudulently used a credit card Oct. 2 without permission.

Oct. 4 at 11:27 a.m. a person used two counterfeit $50 bills to purchase merchandise at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 11500 W. Burleigh Rd. The subject was later arrested by the City of Brookfield Police when the accused attempted to return the merchandise to the Brookfield Dick’s Sporting Goods for cash.

Someone reported that a credit card was stolen while they were at the Corner  Bakers, 11500 W. Burleigh St. The incident occurred Oct. 4 and the card was later used for several purchases in Wauwatosa and Brookfield without the consent of the owner.

In the 500 block of North 67th Street a political sign was vandalized that was posted in a resident’s front yard. The damage occurred sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Oct 2.

A juvenile was taken into custody for possession of a dangerous weapon on school premises Oct. 5 at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St.

A person was arrested for using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Rd. Oct. 5 at 12:55 p.m.

Oct. 5 a fraudulent check was used by an unknown suspect at the Health Network of Wisconsin, 2457 N. Mayfair Rd.

Oct. 6 at 2:37 p.m. a person was arrested for loitering in the 6100 block of Bluemound Road.

Someone sprayed a juvenile with pepper spray Oct. 6 at 6:08 p.m. at McDonald’s, 3800 N. 124th St.

Sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 6:14 a.m. Oct. 8 someone broke a large front window at Firefly Restaurant, 7754 Harwood Ave.

Oct. 6 a person allegedly committed two fraudulent returns and received $337.89 of store credit at the Target Store, 3900 N. 124th St.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. Oct. 3 a person was arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the 6500 block of West State Street.

Burglary

Oct. 5 at 1:44 p.m. someone entered an apartment while the resident was sleeping and stole a 42-inch TV in the 10300 block of West North Avenue.

In the 10300 block of West North Avenue someone forcibly entered a residence and removed property without the consent of the resident Oct. 5 between 2:00 and 2:10 p.m. The suspect is a male in his 40’s, short in height and was wearing all black clothing.

Outstanding warrants

A person was arrested after a traffic stop in the 6900 block of West Wisconsin Avenue Oct. 3 at 11:40 a.m. on a warrant issued by the Greenfield Police Department for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Oct. 3 at 2:13 p.m. a person was arrested on fugitive warrants during a traffic stop near the intersection of Watertown Plank Road and Innovation Drive.

A suspect was arrested during a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant issued by the West Allis Police Department. The arrest took place Oct. 5 at 9:49 p.m. in the 2600 block of North Mayfair Rd. The traffic violation occurred in the 1700 block of North Mayfair Road.

Oct. 8 at 2:43 a.m. a person was arrested in Madison Park for warrants issued by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s office, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s office, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s office.

A person was arrested for an open felony warrant near North 92nd Street and West Congress Street. The warrant was issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
