After tragic week, MTV, BET will host live town hall Friday night

After a heartbreaking week rocked by the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and an attack on Dallas police, MTV and BET will host a live town hall Friday night.

The program, called What now? An MTV News and BET News Town Hall will air live at 10 p.m. ET/PT from MTV's Times Square studio.

A release from the networks said to expect "an open forum of artists, activists and audience members discussing the issues underlying this latest round in a cycle of violence and tragedy in America."

On hand for the discussion will be Charlamagne Tha God from MTV2’s Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne, Franchesca Ramsey from MTV’s Decoded and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, MTV News' Jamil Smith and BET News' Marc Lamont Hill.
