Medical examiner: We know how Bobbi Kristina died

ATLANTA -- The Fulton County Medical Examiner has determined the cause and manner of death for Bobbi Kristina Brown, but is keeping the information to themselves -- for now.

According to a Saturday press release from the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office, the agency isn't releasing details to the public because of a judge's court order sealing the autopsy findings. However, the county's district attorney and Roswell Police Department have been notified of the results.

Bobbi Kristina, the only child of singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, died July 26, almost six months after she fell into unconsciousness in a bathtub in a still-mysterious incident at her Georgia townhouse on Jan. 31.The 22-year-old was buried in New Jersey last month next to her mother, who died three years ago after suffering a heart attack and drowning in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel.

Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator has filed a $10 million lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Nick Gordon, accusing him of beating up her up, stealing her money and giving her a "toxic cocktail" on the day she was found in the bathtub. Gordon has denied the accusations, calling them "slanderous and meritless."

No criminal charges have been filed against Gordon.

WXIA's legal analyst Phil Holloway said the sealing of the medical examiner's report doesn't necessarily mean criminal charges are forthcoming. He also said he doesn't expect the autopsy to render much in terms of evidence since Bobbi Kristina was comatose for so long before she died.
