Egg Day at the Zoo: Make colorful crafts, enjoy entertainment and watch a parade at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, during a day of Easter fun from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The regular admission rates of $14.25 per adult, $11.25 per child age 3 to 12 and $13.25 for adults 60 and older apply, as do regular parking fees. Children 2 and younger get in free.

Rotary Club Egg Hunt: The Wauwatosa Mayfair Rotary Club will host an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. at Wisconsin Avenue Park, 10300 W. Wisconsin Ave. Children ages 9 and younger may participate. Admission is free, but the Rotary is collecting donations of nonperishable food items to benefit the Wauwatosa Food Pantry. Entertainment, prizes, refreshments and an appearance by the Easter Bunny also will be part of the day’s events. The event takes place rain or shine. Bring a basket or bag for goodies.

Easter Egg Hunt: An Easter egg hunt will be held from 11 a.m. to noon for children under age 10 at Unity Church in Milwaukee, 1717 N. 73rd St., Wauwatosa. Twelve special eggs will contain a ticket to see "Beauty and the Beast" and others will contain candy. The hunt is open to the community. Families are asked to register their children's names and ages by calling 414-475-0105 to be sure enough eggs are available. The hunt will be held rain or shine.

Rhyme Time: Children up to 3 years of age are invited to enjoy a 20-minute session featuring nursery rhymes, stories, songs, finger plays and more at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. An adult must attend with the child; older siblings are welcome.

Senior Center Birthday Party: Members of the Hart Park Senior Center will celebrate their fellow members born in March or April at the Hart Park Senior Center, 7300 W. Chestnut St. Call 414-471-8495 to register.

Fundraiser for Monarch Butterflies: The Friends of the Monarch Trail will hold a fundraiser from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Eschweiler Building, 3rd Floor Ballroom, 9810 Echelon Lane. Stop in to view educational displays and bid on silent auction items. Mingle with monarch enthusiasts and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and spirits. Proceeds will benefit continued restoration of the Monarch Trail Conservancy. For information, go to the group’s website at themonarchtrail.org.

Backgammon tourney: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club will host a tournament at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. The tournament includes a Main Flight and a Consolation Flight — guaranteeing at least two 5-point matches for everyone who enters — plus an optional side pool. The entry fee is $6.
